Start Up of the Year for Batteries and Value Chain went to IONETIC at the 2024 Energy Tech Challengers competition. Over 450 companies entered after being nominated by VCs, and 50 finalists were selected and invited to present their technology at the event in Bilbao, where a panel of more than 20 VCs judged them. Entry was open to companies working on green energy infrastructure, the battery value chain, green molecules or climate fintech. IONETIC was recognised for battery pack technology that combines software tools with smart manufacturing systems for low-volume vehicle manufacturers.

In 2024 Energy Tech Challengers invited companies to apply if they are working on technology solutions in the areas of green energy infrastructure, battery value chain, green molecules, or climate fintech.
